SDI Conference Filming

Just back from 2 days filming the Service Desk Institute conference at the Hilton Metropole hotel in Birmingham. This was a very busy few days shoot but got to meet and film some very inspirational people, including former Paralympic swimmer and multi gold medal winner Marc Woods. Now commentator and presenter for the BBC, Marc shared his experiences on team work, leadership and motivation and gave us all lots to think about.

Among a number of other great keynote speakers from very different areas was Neville Wilshire. Nev’s very unique style of management is known by many through his BBC TV show The Call Centre. He gave us examples of how he keeps morale high within his company Save Britain Money and spoke about how happy people give great service.

It was also a great pleasure to meet and hear speak the chief happiness officer of WOOHOO inc, Alexander Kjerulf. He is one of the world’s leading experts on happiness at work. With Scandinavian countries being the only ones to have a word for happiness at work, the Danish word being arbejdsglaede, it’s time we all do something to make sure we are happy at work and if you ever get to hear him speak, Alex has many of the answers to make this possible.

So now into the editing suite to deliver SDI all their footage as we immediately start to plan next years conference in April 2015. its going to be hard to better this years but they will do it with ease I’m sure. Well done SDI on putting on such a great conference.
